Responsibles: Juan Carlos from Paidós and Mari Carmen Vicencio from Metamorfosis Group from Querétaro.
The idea is to create a multicolour collage, formed by photos and texts of each one of the participants.
Its purpose is to socialize basic information about who we are, where we come from, where we work and what we are doing.
As we said previously, we want to recognize diversity in a space where each identity is important.
The aim of this activity is to surpass the recognition of faces and start to discover life stories.
We are a lot of people and we come from different places. Our colours, flavours, customs, languages and points of view are diverse, but, how much do we know about each other?
We invite you to participate in our Identity Mural as a way of knowing us better. You can design and send a personal or collective presentation with important data about you. Each collective presentation can be contained in 4 or 5 pages and the personal in 2.
With these presentations we'll build the Identity Mural that will be exhibited during the RIDEF and will allow nearness between us, know each other, our names and learn languages, in a way that this experience enriches us in the pedagogic and human side.
The cooperative work will not only permit us to concentrate, articulate and integrate this information, but also create a data bank with RIDEF's participants and be in possibility to share it furthermore.

Hello: I’m María Laud ex-student of Paidós. I’m 12 years old and know I’m studying senior high school, 7th grade. I joined Paidós in preschool and I was there all my life (until know), with some classmates with whom I continue in my new school. My brother Diego was also in Paidós. He is studying the last year of high school in UNAM. Well, maybe you are thinking why I will be going to the RIDEF if I’m not a student or a teacher of Paidós. Well, I’ll be going because my mother, Laura, is a teacher of Paidós. She is the 6th grade teacher. She was my Natural Sciences teacher. I will also go because I like to meet people from other parts of the world. I want you to know that in Mexico people are very king and our community is anxious to receive you this year. Believe me, you won’t regret choosing Mexico for the 2008 encounter. Good bye and I wish you have a great time in México. |
Hello: We are from Mexico. We study 6th grade in a school named Escuela Activa Paidós. We are 10 and 12 years old. Welcome to our country, we are glad to receive teachers from other parts of the world. We live in the Distrito Federal. Our school is small, but its super because we do many things for our planet like recycling pet, tetra pack, paper, newspaper, tin cans, cardboard and batteries. We also have pets and we take care of them. Some of us have been in Paidós for 8 years: Edith, Carlos, Bruno, Rodrigo and Hair. Other classmates, like Melissa, Samantha, Félix, Ricardo, José Eduardo, Daniel and Luis, have been in our school for 5 years. Other classmates joined Paidós in 2nd or 4th grade like Diego, Julia, Axel and Andrea. In 6th grade Belen entered. In our Sciences class we do experiments and we are part of a sprout project named Reforestemos México because in our country there is a big problem with the loss of our forests. The most of the group likes History and dance. History: Tere is our teacher and the principal of our school. There are new topics and others that we are reviewing. Now we are studying Mexican History. Dancing: we dance different rhythms and we have already decided what we are going to dance in the Christmas festival besides de Walts of the Flowers of the Nut-cracker. Geography: our teacher makes us laugh a lot and his class is amusing. We are designing maps from different parts of the world in group. Painting: we are preparing the painting ceremony where we are going to show the coronation of Napoleón. Well, we hope you enjoy your stay in our country. It’s a pity that we won’t be able to meet you because you will be many kilometers away from the D.F. |
