In our schools boys, girls and seniors have learned to be responsibles of their words and judgments and to practice them in a space of respect to the wrights of the rest. They have also been taught to recognize and value others, to express their wishes, thoughts, critics and recommendations to improve cooperative work, enrich it and learn to be better every day.
This is the sense of the Democratic Mural, to ovoid that in our RIDEF meetings the frustrations, bad feelings, wishes not carried out or expectations remain. We want to live out our wright to experience democratic spaces and we believe that if our students are able to practice them naturally, it is time to do so in our encounters.
The respect to the diversity of thoughts and actions, the need to learn how to say to others our differences, but respecting the wright to be different, will help us enrich this space of collective growth.
Following with the Freinet tradition of the assembly, the Democratic Mural seeks to pick up the opinions of the participants during the encounter. It also has the purpose to create a space of fluid communication, with the idea that everyone can know to whom they can approach, in case of needing help.
The mural will have different spaces so that everyone can express their opinions in 5 ways: I congratulate, Help me, I share, I propose and I appreciate.
In the welcome meeting we will point out the existence of this communication space and that everyday there will be a miniassembly, at the end of dinner, to check and attend the writings.
The responsible group will be aware to attend at the matters stated. There will also be a final report at the end of the RIDEF to evaluate the utility of the strategy.
