 WHAT IS THE LONG WORKSHOP RIDEF
A long workshop is a set of activities that allow participants direct experiences: it is not a place for listening only.
So participants must work on the suggestion made by the facilitator, on a subject, on objects, and after, reflect on the path that the group had made. So as the work that is given offered to students at school: propose activities and after reflect on what has been achieved on the skills we have involved, on how the group worked. It's the socio-constructive way of knowledge, which reveals the personal deep images of everyone and gathers then together in cooperating. For example, we can propose to  a group to build a bridge symbolizing friendship among peoples (I saw this during the RIDEF of Poitiers). Each participant has an image of how it is a bridge, but we must choose an image of a group make  the design of the project, assign tasks, etc. Then we discuss, we think, we compare the various bridges that different groups have built. Or we can work on texts or other object of knowledge .. The aims are to teach adults how to make the children protagonists of his knowledge.
The workshop covers many days, so you have to make a schedule by dividing the time and choosing activities for each day, in order to progress together towards a cooperative and active learning idea.
We can for example build an educational project for the participants.
The facilitators can be 2 and exchange in different times.
